About Broken Gods Productions
Broken Gods Productions
Broken Gods Productions is passionate about changing the landscape of accessible theatre, whilst entertaining and supporting the community.
Broken Gods Productions is founded and run by creatives who have seen an opportunity for change and are passionate about acting on it. We can build a community-centric, theatre-loving foundation from which the possibilities are endless.
Broken Gods strives to uphold their engagement in community interests. We will donate from every production we do to each affiliated charity and promote their work through online and offline means.
Meet the team
Charlie Heptinstall
Founder / Producer
Charlie threw himself into the arts at 16 where he was successfully involved in five back to back shows with the Theatre Royal Plymouth. This propelled him into seeking professional training and, after the National Youth Theatre and the National Youth Film Academy first gave him a stepping stone, he graduated from Mountview in 2020. With credits in EastEnders, True Things and Doctors, Charlie has also gone on to write his own shows and poetry which have motivated him to found Broken Gods Productions with a strong belief in supporting and entertaining the community.
Calum McArthur
Co- Founder / Producer
Calum trained as an actor at Mountview and has been working professionally since his graduation in 2020, with credits in film, television and radio. He has also had a career as an educator working with young people with ASD and Aspergers Syndrome, providing both academic and developmental support. Calum strongly believes in theatre and other creative outlets being a powerful tool in developing confidence and personal growth for young people. He believes there is a story out there for everyone and being able to see yourself represented and valued on stage or screen is vital, validating and empowering.
Our Mission
At Broken Gods Productions, our mission is to support and uplift the community through the power of theatre. We are dedicated to making our shows accessible to everyone, ensuring that no one is excluded from experiencing the magic of live performance. We believe in giving back to the community by partnering with local charities and organisations, providing free workshops, and donating a portion of our proceeds to causes that matter. Through creative and inventive campaigns, we strive to create meaningful and impactful experiences that benefit all members of the community. Our goal is to build a theatre-loving, community-centric foundation from which the possibilities for positive change are endless.
